I'm interested in entrepreneurship but have never had to try to get a company off the ground from scratch (except for one summer when I did some one-woman tutoring and did some advertising and such for that). What better way than to throw myself into it, eh? I'm thinking of starting my own business in the spring to make affordable consumer-facing videos for company websites.
I'm a believer in the idea that you shouldn't feel like your work is work--that if it's something you really love, you'll be happy to be contributing each day. I think I do my best work when I'm working behind an idea that I can truly get behind personally, and I want my career to reflect this.
I only have a year left in college--that means a year left with my inspiring professors, my amazing roommates, and the vast resources of the University. More and more I'm aware of the limited time I have left to spend!
