I'd like to have a completely decluttered home. It'll make the house seem bigger too.

I absolutely can't believe we're back at this spot again so shortly after hubby hit remission status. But here we are and it is what it is. Exactly what is it? The scary monster banging at the front door this time has let himself in. This one is Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and it's my turn to beat him out of our house before he takes up residence. Hopefully, the mammogram detected him early and the surgeon can get him out quickly before he hits the lymphatic system, spreads his nasty talons and digs in for the long haul. No worries... We've GOT this!!! He doesn't stand a chance. In my mind, the battle is already won.

I have put this goal at the top of my list because it is absolutely time for me to take control of my health and fitness. It is so important to me because I'd like to improve the quality of my life in general, feel stronger and healthier, have more confidence and energy levels and keep up with my children. Engaging in an active lifestyle and keeping fitness a priority is important for my children to see and to be involved with too. I'd like to do what I can to ensure I'm around to see their children grow up. Over the course of my life, I've been very physically fit and then not so much. Life is so much better all around when I'm at my ideal weight with a healthy BMI. January's 21-Day Challenge helped me create some positive habits to achieve this goal and I'd like to keep those habits going through the rest of the year with a focus on releasing (thanks Heather) between five and ten lbs each month.

I want to do this because I absolutely love movies. Our time is so precious too so I figured that if I'm going to watch movies, I should certainly start with the best ones. We have a new home theater to enjoy them in too. Date night in the basement. Yay! Collecting the Oscar winning movies from before I was born doesn't really interest me all that much at this point. I have seen a few of those, but I thought it'd make a fun goal to see the ones I've missed over the years.

I have always said I'd start a scrap book for each child, but have never been able to get to it. We have a tonne of pictures and I've kept a journal for each of my four kids since their birth, recording dates of their milestones and my feelings about it all. I'd planned on passing the journal and scrap book along to them each when the time was right. Putting together a portfolio of their milestone moments for each of them would be something they'd enjoy and a perfect substitute to the scrap booking idea. They all love hearing stories about themselves when they were too young to remember and I'm sure with a bit of digging, I can put the pictures to the stories too. Plus, I'd also like to start working with each of them on their own goals for themselves. Goal setting has been such a huge factor in my own life and I'd like them to learn and practice the same success principles. I think it would be invaluable one-on-one time with mom and a safe place for them to start to work with a computer too.

I want to accomplish this goal so we can be completely free of all debt. We have been able to change the mortgage to a line of credit so we are able to make payments toward it whenever possible - this makes a big difference in the timeline and how fast we'll be able to pay it out.

I know I have relatives overseas and seeing as I've lost touch with my own family, I think it would really help me on a personal level to feel more connected. My parents divorced when I was ten and I left home when I was fourteen. My father passed on when I was 27, just as I was beginning to build a relationship with him again. To this day, my mother and I do not speak. I think it'd be fantastic to visit the places where our family has it's roots.

I was very happy with that progress and I'd like to keep it going through the rest of this year and be finished with this goal once and for all as I'm so fed up with yoyo-ing between twenty pounds.
