The whole idea is to drive less. There is no reason why I can't walk, skate board, or bike to the grocery store. I figure walking to every errand that is within a mile of my apartment is not only doable but easy. I'll save riding the bike for errands out side that one mile radius up to about five or so.

I've always been active but never really thought about what I ate. Through the miracle of net flicks I've been watching a lot of documentaries on food. This of course got me thinking about what I eat and how it affects me. I originally started a vegetarian diet because it was lighter on my stomach and it allowed me to eat full meals and still workout a few times a day. I noticed that I felt more energetic and I was able to stay focused when studying. These where side benefits I hadn't even realized I was missing out on! Although I started out a vegetarian for the physical benefits I've continued the diet for both health and philosophical reasons.

I feel staying in touch with old friends will enrich our lives. Reliving the good times is fun and talking about the hard times is cheaper than therapy. I have met tons of wonderful people throughout my life, but unfortunately people come and people go. I want the people that have blessed and touched my life to know how significant they are, even if I only see or talk to them once in a while.

This would be huge step toward becoming a more well rounded martial artist. From my experience so far this art is more like a physical chess match than any other art I've seen. I want to do this for several reasons one it will keep me in shape. Two it will sharpen my mind and help me to be a better strategist. Three it is yet again another source knowledge.

Slacklining is the act of walking and performing tricks on a piece of climbing webbing strung between to objects. I first slacklined a few years ago. At first it was very frustrating just trying to stay on the line. After some practice I was able to walk a short line and stay on the line for a few minutes. Working on my balance is an ongoing goal and slacklining is a fun way to practice.

My principle reason for wanting to try yoga is for flexibility. I have noticed that I'm not nearly as flexible as I used to be! This is disturbing because I used to be able to do the splits. I've started to stretch more frequently but I really need someone who knows what their doing. I had a pretty crazy accident in 2001 and another one in 2007. I'd like to think that they might have something to do with it, and not that I'm just getting older!
