I have always hated running, but I have had a desire to start because of the health benefits. I have friends who are going to run a half marathon in August and thought it would be a great motivation for me to set this goal.
I need to do this for me! I am tired of feeling bad about myself. So, I just need to do this and be happy! I also have had health issues and I am sure a few of them are related to weight issues. During my last pregnancy, I was borderline gestational diabetic which has since gone away, but my chances of getting type II diabetes is 50% which scares me. I also had to have my gallbladder out last year and I had a groin tear which took 5months to heal because I pushed my out of shape body too hard. I want to be in a healthy weight range and I want to be in shape. I have a long-term goal of running a half marathon in August. I know if I can achieve this I will be on the right track.
