A rugged dutch man named Hans moved to Namibia as a teenager and fell in love with the African bush. I stayed at his eco lodge and as a naturalist he introduced us to the intriguing language of elephants. He could look at the prints, and the damage to the bushes and tell us what was going on with the elephants in the area.
