Enjoyed the first two and want to continue to challenge myself and improve my times.
I have fond memories of riding motorcycles as a child. A Honda 80, 3-wheelers before they were banned, dirt bikes up and down the street, and specifically my uncle Bob's old Honda 250 street legal dirt bike. He let me ride on the tank and hold the front of the handle bars. In college I often rode a friends Yamaha FZR600 to and from class - with no helmet no less, and when my Brother bought a few 4-wheelers, I'd come home on the weekends and we'd spend an entire Saturday getting muddy on some land close to his house. I guess I've had a fascination with motorcycles all my life but never actually owned one! Now's the time.
Given the trials of our personal finances over the last few years, I am realizing the importance of an emergency account. I was also inspired by another member's goal and decided to take the plunge.
In the last 35 years I've experienced a lot, most of these experiences are fading memories in my mind and so I wanted to find a way to document the places that I've experienced via reviews on Yelp. This will benefit me, to remember where I've been and how I felt at the time I was there, and the users of Yelp, to help them decide if they want to experience the same.
My company has been working with Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. (RMI) for about a year and a half and I have been fully immersed in the world of mountain climbing. The highlight was helping update the daily dispatches and corresponding video and photos for last years Mt. Everest Climb - this climb marked RMI's 40th year in business and showcased their new line of gear in a partnership with Eddie Bauer, called First Ascent. The 3 month trip was so incredible to be involved with and although climbing Mt. Everest is the ultimate goal for any climber, it inspired me to make climbing my first mountain a personal goal.
