Why were you inspired to do this?
Like most people, I am my own worst critic. The negative tapes that I let play in a loop in my head must stop. Must. Stop. Tapes. This year I have been taking big steps to risk and grow and improve my life, and yet I still find myself doing negative self-talk and discounting my accomplishments. I wanted to make this list to remind myself that it's great to be me!
What were 3 things you did to make this happen?
Courage to accept myself with my short-comings and imperfections.
A lot of self love. There are things I think are ok about myself, and things I like, but I wanted to list 50 things about me that I think are AMAZING!
A lot of time alone reflecting and journaling.
How did you feel once you had accomplished this?
I just put this list on my blog and it was really hard to hit that "publish" button. This is a great exercise to try - I had no idea it would be this challenging. I'm proud of myself for doing it. I hope someone else will stumble on it and decide to spend some time thinking about how great they are.
I blogged about this at:
