Why were you inspired to do this?

After learning of the story of Father Damion and banishment of people to Kalaupapa I wanted to learn more of the hardships that were faced.

What were 3 things you did to make this happen?

Time -- wanted to do this while it was still possible

Money -- a trip to Molokai and then the cost of the tour

Imagine -- while on the tour trying to imagine I had to live there the rest of my life with a disease.

How did you feel once you had accomplished this?

Sad for all those who had to experience banishment to this area, and grateful that people like Father Damion were there to help.
