Why do you want to do this?

I want to look better. I want to feel attractive. Better health should always be an achievment, but honestly I want to look better on the outside more! I'm being quite honest here. I hate the way my body looks. Better health will be a great side effect, not the other way around. I know it's not very politically correct to say this, but that's the way I feel right now. I'm embarrsed of the way I look in whatever outfit I choose to wear., even my scrubs. I avoid looking at my whole body in the mirror. I change my clothes in the closet or in the dark, so my husband can't see. He doesn't think I have anything to be embarrased about. But then, he doesn't live in this body, and wear it out in public, in today's image conscious world. I know we should all strive to be less image-aware of ourselves and others, but...............yeah, its a nice thought.

What three things will you need to make this happen?

Perseverence

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

Laziness, chocolate and not seeing enough results quick enough.

How are you coming along with this goal, Epiphany? I've been working on my fitness goal since the beginning of May and it takes a long time, so instead of being impatient and discouraged, I have been taking it week by week, trying to make good food and exercise choices into new habits where I don't have to think about it. It doesn't always work the way I wish it would, so I try to take it easy on myself. If I feel run down or overworked, I slide back to ordering pizza and laying on the couch! So I am seeking support here and looking for new ways to spark my enthusiasm. Are you doing anything in particular that's working for you? Open to suggestions!
