Why do you want to do this?

I have always been very home oriented, caring very much about the structure I live in and my neighborhood. I find great pleasure in creating a beautiful, warm and welcoming home. It is relaxing, invigorating and rewarding! I love to entertain and have out-of-town guests, and I'm especially happy when people tell me how comfortable they feel in my home.

What three things will you need to make this happen?

I will need to find a new job that pays enough to save for a down payment and will allow me to make monthly paymets, property taxes, etc.

I need to find the right house! I'm picky-- I prefer older homes (pre-1940's) , it must be extremely well maintained with a good amount of land for gardens and privacy. I need a big, beautiful kitchen, hardwood floors and a fireplace or two.

Finding the right home at the right price is all I need. I can do the rest!

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

Finaces :( But this will change, it will be hard to find a job where I make less money than I do now! And as I've been laid off due to state-wide budget cuts to education, and because I want to move to the BayArea, I will be getting a new job and it will pay much more than my currentone!
