Why do you want to do this?

I love traveling and visiting new places. This is just a push to keep at it! So far I have visited USA, Mexico, Cuba, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, India, Nepal, China, Hong Kong and Japan. 18 down, 12 to go!

What three things will you need to make this happen?

A lot of planning. I'll need to do a multi-month trip to get a good amount of traveling in. Europe would be a good destination.

Saving up enough money for a trip. $10,000.

Getting time off work. I'll have to plan between contracts.

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

you can totally do this!! I have been exploring the world over the years...I was very lucky to work in the travel industry, and visit some amazing destinations...I am at 76 countries so far...most of them reached by my 30th birthday!

There is the Century Travelers Club...a club that you can join once you have gone to 100 countries (and significant destinations)...they have over 300 listed, and I can almost guarantee that your check marks will be a little more than you have listed! Strongly recommend Europe...will be able to check off a lot of countries in a shorter amount of time.

As a first 17 thats a pretty impressive list - get yourself to Europe, you can visit 13 countries in 13 days here, we're a very a nationalistic continent!
