Why do you want to do this?
Ever since I read an article on the subject by David Quammen, I've wanted to do this. I love white water. I love exploration. I love doing things only a few people have done. Two of my friends have completed this journey, and both say it was a pinnacle life experience.
White water by day. Camping by night. Exploring deep canyons among alien desert landscapes and Native American ruins. How can that not be fun?
What three things will you need to make this happen?
Earn $3,000 I'm not spending on other things.
Organize a group to go with me.
Make reservations and go.
What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?
Getting a team on board to do this with me. It's a lot of expense and time off.
