Why do you want to do this?

The girls are going to be turning 2 years old in March, and so they are going to be hitting the age where they're ready for "big girl beds." I just got a lot of woodworking tools for Christmas, and so this seems like the perfect first woodworking project. Plus, buying two beds would be pretty expensive!

What three things will you need to make this happen?

Design the beds in Sketchup, using accurate scale and measurements.

Purchase the supplies from our local hardware store.

Cut, sand, glue, nail, paint, disassemble, reassemble. Tadaaa.

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

Not having a pickup truck to get the supplies I'll need. I'll need to find someone that can help me.
