Sports & Adventure: Competition
Why do you want to do this?
Growing up, I was always a standout baseball player, and hit a lot of home runs over the years. But I've been playing softball for 3 years now and have yet to hit a home run and it's starting to really get under my skin. I guess when you're used to being good at something and you lose that ability, it can mess with you a little bit.
What three things will you need to make this happen?
A top-of-the-line softball bat. I think they really do make a great difference.
Talk to guys who have successfully made the transition from a good baseball swing to a good softball swing. I think they have some similarities, but also some differences. I haven't quite picked up on the differences after three years.
Spend more time hitting in the cages and off of the tee. Get back to the basics that I was taught so many years ago.
What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?
Although I can afford a $300 bat, it seems like a colossal waste of money considering all the other things that money could buy.
