Such a great goal! Dogs really become family members and help with mental well-being more than you realize, sometimes.
Have you considered rescuing, rather than going through a breeder. It can be very rewarding (and less costly).
As you progress with your goal, share the resources you find helpful with others who can also benefit from them.
