Why were you inspired to do this?
Music plays a really important part in my life. I've always kept a list of concerts that I want to see, and U2 was actually the last band on a long list I've had for years! (I've started a new list now :>)
What were 3 things you did to make this happen?
Time. The closest city they played on their recent tour was 6 hours away!
Money. I'm used to seeing little indy bands, so the ticket to U2 put me back some serious cash. Also - my hotel room the night before the concert was $80. That same room the night of the concert was $350! Holy ripoff!
A sense of adventure. This was a solo trip from Portland, OR to Vancouver, BC. I wasn't able to rope any friends into laying down so much cash for a concert, so I had to be brave and go it alone. I didn't regret it!
How did you feel once you had accomplished this?
I felt great. I had so much fun! I made a little vacation out of it and stopped for a night in Seattle and ended up seeing two more concerts during that trip. I'd never been to Vancouver, so I did a little sightseeing as well. It was (for the most part) a carefree, super fun time!
