The atmosphere of TD Garden was awesome. Habs vs Bruins Game 5.
Why were you inspired to do this?
My Brother and I have always enjoyed watching and Playing Hockey. John is a huge Montreal Canadiens Fan. Growing up I had to pick the other team.. as John always got the Canadiens. This was the late 70's and I ended up not building a true allegiance to any team. Fast Forward 30 years and I live in Boston. The Bruins are my team so now that Montreal is Playing Boston in the Stanley Cup Playoffs I want to go with my Brother to a Game.
What were 3 things you did to make this happen?
Bought the Tickets - There were only singles available in the Balcony. No matter I found two Tickets. So we don't sit together. Did not matter.
John Drove to Boston - Saint John is a 7 hour Drive.
Pick up the tickets - I bought tickets through ticketmaster so just had to pick them up!
How did you feel once you had accomplished this?
The whole experience was awesome. We took the train into North Station/TD Garden. The train was full of fans and when we got to the Garden it was electric. Having been to other games, this was different. Game 5 Habs vs Bruins. The game went into overtime and it was a huge Goal from Nathan Horton. BRUINS WON. I believe this was a key game in the series as they came back and won game 7 after losing in Montreal in Game 6. The Bruins went on to win the Stanley Cup and unfortunately this was only game I got to.. But a 2 to 1 overtime win by the Bruins over Habs was awesome. My brother and I had a huge fun night.
